The Amara River Cruise is a traditional
Myanmar riverboat travelling along the
Ayarwady and Chindwin River.
It is made of traditional wood and was
completely refurbished by local craftsmen
in 2003. It measures 30 meters / 100 feet
in length by 8 meters / 24 feet in width.
With a shallow draft of 1 meter / 3 feet
and two Japan made 180hp Hino engines, it
can go as far north as Bhamo all year
round. On board you find a total of seven
Cabins, six standard double cabins and one
deluxe, each with its own bathroom with
hot and cold shower. Communal areas
include dining room, bar and canopied
sundeck.
Electricity is provided 24 hours a day at
220 V. A 3500 liter water tank and a
sewage treatment unit make the boat
self-sufficient and provide a high
ecological standard.
Freshly prepared local and European dishes
and many kinds of tropical fruit cocktails
are prepared by our well-trained cook and
served by our friendly staff at regular
mealtimes and upon special order.
All bed linen and towels as well as
on-board laundry are included in our
service.

Inside this graceful river cruiser the
emphasis rests on traditional comfort. The
spacious en suite cabins are
air-conditioned and furnished with
beautiful fabrics, fine linens and soft
towels, while a friendly room service is
available to guests 24 hours a day.
Three types of cabin are available,
Single, Superior and State all with en
suite shower and WC facilities. Each cabin
has a personal safe, telephone, satellite
TV with in-house video and hairdryers.
Sockets are suitable for 2-pin round plugs
(220 volts).

Queen
"Delta
Queen" cruises overnight from Yangon to
Pathein three times per week. The trip is
sold in conjunction with transfer by coach
to Ngwe Saung Beach. Once in Pathein
passengers are transferred to Ngwe Saung
by air conditioned coach one and a half
hours away. The steel hulled vessel is 148
ft. long with a beam of 28 ft and a draft
of 5 ft. Purpose built for plying the
waters in the Delta region of the mighty
Ayeyarwaddy (Irrawaddy) River. With three
decks consisting of 14 comfortable
air-conditioned cabins with share shower
and toilet facilities. There are 2 triple
cabins and 12 twin cabins. The covered
dining area is situated on the mid deck in
the aft section of the vessel. The
Captains Bar and Sundeck are on the upper
deck and provide the perfect spot for
reclining on a sun lounge, sipping on a
long cool cocktail or just passing the
time of day as untouched Myanmar passes
by.
